These are all things that I have heard people talking about at meetings. I also know of people that have done some of these things. I know how cunning, baffling, powerful this disease really is! What sort of thought goes through our head time after time for taking that first drink? With all the consequences that may be? It is a mystery to me? That it is absolutely crucial that I remain active and accountable to this program. For a long time I struggled, I thought I was never to have fun again. My social life was over… I thank God everyday for lifting my obsession to not take that first drink today!
