Question by Emily: What goes on in Shadow Mountain Mental Health?
My girlfriend has been admitted to Shadow Mountain Mental Health Hospital in Tulsa Ok…. She’s 16, what goes on in there? She’s only been there for 2 weeks. When is it possible that she will be out? I can’t contact her in any way….. I have no access. It’s making me scared. Anybody have any information on this place?

My younger brother was sent there because he had a drug problem, he promptly escaped though… and ended up doing outpatient therapy. From what he said it is pretty nice, although a controlled environment. By controlled environment, I mean they have rules like who you can contact, what you can eat/drink, no drugs, must take medications, etc.
Your friend is in a safe place where she will get help. I wouldn’t worry, it will be like a vacation for her with all her needs taken care of, so she can concentrate on getting better.
