Food Addiction?

Question by Jimmyster: Food Addiction?
I eat even when I’m not hungry.

And when I do eat, it’s mostly just meats like steak and burgers. Protein intake def. makes me feel better as opposed to not eating at all or eating greens such as a salad.

Plus, i eat fast food all the time, sadly.

at home usually someone will bring it over since they offer. and during the day when im not at home, i get hungry. obviously i can make healthy choices but when im hungry i just think about eating mcdonalds and once im in the drive through i get this satisfaction and after eating i hate the fact that i caved. and this happens daily.

Try replacing that food with a mug of that Sonic ice (those small, bite sized ones) which gives you a little munch. Try decreasing but a teaspoon every day. “Train” yourself. Try waiting five extra mins for eating one day, 10 the next, 15 the next, and so on. Try putting something good but low in calories in front of you (possibly something with a tempting smell) and sit there and tell yourself no. YOUR in control. Tell yourself, “What if I become a true food addict; I won’t be able to move, to walk, to help myself, I’ll feel sluggish ALL OF MY LIFE”. Don’t eat when your not hungry. To me; it sounds like grazing is right for you. Try eating often (not every minute but about every 1 and 20mins) but small meals or very small snacks. Try drinking water or munching on ice cubes while you wait for your grazing meals. Try to exercise if that means to lift your legs and arms holding cans in your arms. Exercising will help you lose weight if needed but also maintain your current weight. Bare in mind though that 70% of weight loss or a diet is food intake while 30% is exercise (exercise is much needed too though). Eat less often; if your going out to eat or have side dishes; eat the main dish and 3-5 bites of the side (don’t eat huge bites; just normal). I hope this helps and good luck!
